An Update on PSA Testing:
As you may be aware, in October 2011, a government panel (USPSTF) drafted a resolution suggesting that PSA testing no longer be offered to men to allow for the detection and treatment of prostate cancer. In agreement with our colleagues in the American Urological Association, the physicians at Urology Specialists, P.C. feel strongly that when utilized appropriately, this test has been proven to save lives and should continue to be offered to our patients.
