As the founder of Urology Specialists, P.C., Dr. Frank Albani has provided compassionate urologic care to the Northland since 1977. He received his undergraduate degree from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in St. Louis, Missouri and worked as a pharmacist while obtaining his medical degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. After completing his surgical internship at Kansas City General Hospital, he served in the United States Navy as a medical officer for two years. He then completed his urology training at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Dr. Albani has served as president of the medical staff as well as chief of surgery for several terms at Liberty Hospital. Because of his continued service and commitment to the community, he received the prestigious Russel H. Stocksdale Distinguished Service Award at Liberty Hospital as well.

He presently serves on the board of directors at the Metropolitan Medical Society of Greater Kansas City and is an active member of the American Urological Association and the Missouri State Medical Association. Dr. Albani is a board certified urologist and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Albani has a vast experience in all aspects of general urology. He has special interests in urologic oncology, prostate problems (benign and malignant), stone disease, incontinence, microscopic vasectomy reversals and "no scalpel" vasectomies. Throughout his career, he has continued to keep Urology Specialists, P.C., committed to providing patients with the latest innovative treatments in a caring manner.

Dr. Kent Haggard is a board certified urologist who has been practicing general urology since 1995.  He received his medical degree at the University of Indiana in Indianapolis, Indiana and completed his urology training at the University of Kansas Medical Center.  He then served in the United States Air Force for 3 years and 4 months at Keesler Medical Center in Biloxi, Mississippi, where he was chief of urology and received a Medal of Commendation for his meritorious service.

Dr. Haggard has been practicing in the Northland since 2001.  He has served as chief of surgery and president of the medical staff at Liberty Hospital.  He also has served as chief of surgery at North Kansas City Hospital and is currently a member of the medical executive committee as well. He is an active member of the Christian Medical & Dental Association and The American Urological Association.

Dr. Haggard has specialized training in laparoscopy, robotic surgery, microscopic surgery, laser treatments for the prostate and kidney stones, "no scalpel" vasectomy, and female incontinence and pelvic floor disorders.  His special interests include urologic oncology, prostate disease, female incontinence, cystocele repair, stone disease, and microscopic vasectomy reversals.  He has a passion for people and for the practice of urology.

Dr. Justin Albani received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He completed his surgical internship and residency in urology at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Following his residency, Dr. Albani completed a fellowship in robotic surgery and laparoscopy while serving as a clinical instructor at the Presbyterian Medical Center at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Albani joined Urology Specialists, P.C. after completing his fellowship in 2006. He is a board certified urologist and an active member of the American Urological Association, the Endourological Society, the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons, Christian Medical and Dental Association, as well as the Metropolitan Medical Society of Greater Kansas City and the Missouri State Medical Association.

He has given numerous presentations and published several articles, abstracts, and book chapters in the field of general urology as well as robotic and laparoscopic surgery. Because of his surgical experience, he has served as a proctor assisting in the instruction of other surgeons in the implementation of robotic surgery.

Dr. Albani’s clinical interests are in urologic oncology, endourology, and reconstructive and ablative laparoscopic and robotic techniques including robotic- assisted prostatectomy, pyeloplasty, and partial nephrectomy and laparoscopic nephrectomy.

Dr. Lynn McCanse has practiced urology in the Northland since 1980. He received his medical training at the University of Missouri in Columbia, and completed his urology residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

He served for over 20 years on the clinical teaching staffs at the University of Kansas and the University of Missouri-Kansas City, including co-director of urology training programs at St Luke’s Hospital, Truman Medical Center, and Children’s Mercy Hospital. He is a former chief of surgery and former president of the medical staff at North Kansas City Hospital as well as a previous president of the Kansas City Urological Society.

Dr. McCanse is a member of numerous national and regional medical groups including the American Urological Association. He is a board certified urologist and a former examiner for The American Board of Urology.

Dr. McCanse offers his extensive experience in all fields of general urology. He has special interests in voiding problems relating to the prostate, diagnosing prostate cancer, and managing and treating problems with urinary stones.
